Hello and thank you all in advance.

I was hoping that some of you would be able to help me with a translation. I would like to have the words "Of course He isn't safe. But He's good." translated into Scottish gaelic for a tattoo.

I am new to this and any help would be appreciated. Thanks again!

Literal translation isn't going to work in this case, because both clauses of the English phrase contain idiomatic expressions which won't work quite the same way in Gaelic (you'd end up with a meaning like "He's safe [from danger], but he's well". What the English expression really means is something like: "He doesn't work carefully, of course, but he works skillfully", so your Gaelic version could say that:

Chan obraich e gu cùramach, tha fhios, ach obraichidh e gu teòma
He [doesn't/won't] work carefully, of course, but he [works/will work] skilfully.
or:
Chan obraich e gu faiceallach, tha fhios, ach obraichidh e gu teòma
He [doesn't/won't] work cautiously, of course, but he [works/will work] skilfully.

A verb other than "work" could also be used, depending on just what he is doing. If you want a different verb, let us know.
