If somebody did something that was exactly as you wanted it, would you consider it appropriate in that context to say, 'Foirfe!'? I have regularly used it in that context, but recently someone suggested to me that it may be Béarlachas. Opinions and knowledgeable input welcome!

I think I'd say, Tá sé sin togha for "That's perfect" or just Togha ! "Perfect!"

I've never seen or heard foirfe used like that. Ar fheabhas or go hiontach is more usual

Is 'foirfe' o.k. in the following situation or not? (as it now seems that I have to relearn the word )
Scríobh mé rud éigin i nGaeilge agus dúirt an múinteoir nach raibh aon botún ann; dúirt sí go raibh sé foirfe.
I know that I can say, 'go raibh sé ar fheabhas/thar bharr......' Is 'foirfe' incorrect in that context? As it seems it wasn't correct on its own the way I had first suggested, is different enough to make it o.k. or is the same mistake there?

I can't speak for all usage, but it seems fine to me in that context. "Foirfe" has a different meaning there than "ar fheabhas" or "go hiontach" or "thar barr"...after all, you could make a small mistake or two and your work could still be "go hiontach," etc., especially if you're a learner who has struggled with a particular context. "Foirfe," on the other hand, would make it very clear that there were no mistakes.

Don't take just my word for it, though...I'm looking forward to what others have to say.

Those suggestions are good. And ofcourse "togha!"

Using "foirfe" in a sentence is ok.
